The Kelpies
Just a 45 minute drive from Crosswoodhill, The Kelpies and Helix Park is a simply stunning destination, largely thanks to the amazingly talented artist Andy Scott from Glasgow. He has created these 30 metre high horse-head sculptures out of structural steel with a stainless steel cladding. They really define the continuing artistic beauty Scotland has offered down the centuries. And lit up at night they are spectacular!
Adjacent is a great free play area massively rated on Trip Advisor. And for dog-walkers, wheelchair users and anyone wanting a stroll, there are spacious walk-ways . This is the perfect stop-off en route to Stirling Castle, a further 20 minute drive from the Kelpies. Plan your day out starting with http://www.thehelix.co.uk/ and https://www.stirlingcastle.gov.uk/ And if that's not enough and you are happy with an early start and late return, ask us for lots more ideas for an action packed day.
