European Holiday Homes Association  August 2016:  We have just heard that our large 5 STAR eco-lodge, Craigengar, is a finalist in 2 categorirs of the 2016 EHHA awards.: the Best Green Holiday Home  and the Best Accessible Holiday Home,  Final judging takes place later this year.

September 2016.  We are delighted to discover that Craigengar has won the best Accessible Holiday Home. There were over 3oo entries from all over Europe to this competition.

I see we never reported back on last year's Thistle Awards in November 2015.  Sadly we did not progress beyond Regional Finalists but enjoyed a wonderful night's entertainment at the Awards Cermony at Prestonfield House.

We hope you like this total re-design of our website.   The  ageing wrinkles on our original award-winning website, designed nearly 15 years ago,  were becoming impossible to erase. It was  time for a complete facelift.  It’s been fun to do and our web designer deserves an award for her patience.    We’ve  tried to cover everything future guests would find useful. However your feedback would be welcome.

Imagine my delight in opening this email..... and we wouldn't have got this far with the Scottish Tourism Oscars without the help of all those guests who have kindly posted on Trip Advisor.

August 2015...

Our extra special investment this year is the play area we have created in the mature woodland behind Crosswoodhill Farmhouse.  Accessible to all 3 of our smaller cottages, families are really loving the garden playfort, the large family swing, sling and toddler slings in what is essentially a nature playground shaded by mature trees, with views to the fields beyond.  With the added benefits of a see-saw, trapeze bar and rings, balancing logs and a picnic table for supervising adults, it's the perfect place to unwind at the end of a day. Or  anytime.
